Marlins lose the second game 13-1 against Dodgers

April 30th, 2008 — article by

Hard game to watch after the 3rd inning. Nobody pitched well and nobody hit well. Enough said…….
We still are a half game up in first place though…….

Marlins lose to the Dodgers in the opener

April 29th, 2008 — article by

What a great game for the Marlins to come back from being behind 6-1 in the third inning to tie the game 6-6. Andrews gave up 6 runs in the first three innings and was taked out. Ross did get a pinch hit in the 7th with a fly out to right field.

Is it just me or did the Dodgers get some close calls at the plate for strikes. Gregg pitched to the same area and got balls. It cost us the game. There will probably be web jams on sports center with the catch from Uggla into the stands, Amezega’s diving catch in centerfield and Robelo’s stand at home plate to save a run. Too bad Marlins you guys played a great game to get beat. Goes back to that starting pitching with Andrews. Hard to spot 6 runs in the first three innings and come back. they almost did………

Marlins take the series agains the Brewers

Sorry I am a day behind but our good buddy Randy came into town for the weekend. And guess what. He brought some mojo with Cody getting a hit. A blooper to third, Cody beats out the throw with great hussle. Thats about all I remember about the game. Oh Wes Helms hits a homerun in the 10th to break the tie and win the game.

Brewers tie the series at 1-1

Prince Fielder was the hero tonite for the Brewers hitting a home run in the 8th inning to put his team ahead 4-3 against the Marlins. Pinto gave up the home run, the first this year. The Marlins looked like they were playing with a hangover the first 3 innings. Errors by Uggla and Remirez scored the Brewers runs.

Cody got into the game in the 9th inning making a game saving catch in centerfield over his head to the wall. Great catch Cody. Ross also ended the game with a strike out in the top of the ninth. He got quick pitched which should have been called a balk. The umps missed it.  ?????  On to game three tomarro at noon for those of you in New Mexico. A lefty is pitching so I assume Cody will get the start in centerfield.  Jacobs sprained his middle finger tonite so it looks like Helms will get the start tomarro. That leaves Amezega for back up in the infield. Marlins still lead the NLE by a half game over the Phillies.

Marlins beat the Brewers in the opener

Scott Olson went 7 1/3 innings to keep the Brewers scoreless. Scott Olson pitched a great game, but I did find the key as when to pull him as of late. If you remember last year his baseball cap was drenched in sweat by the third inning. That has not happened this year with his fast approach. But tonite in the eighth inning the cap was full of sweat. After walking two batters and then getting an out, Fredi saw the same thing and pulled him. The bullpen was flawless again with Justin Miller pitching to one batter for an out, Pinto came in and finished the eighth inning. Kevin Gregg closed out the ninth with no runs. Still tied at 0-0 Gregg came back and pitched the 10th scoreless inning to win the game.

Wes Helms came into the game in the ninth with an RBI to give the Marlins the lead. Cody came into the game as a pinch runner for Gonzo in the 8th, Ross stayed in the game in left field and had a long ball fly rbi in the 10th inning to help win the game. I’m gonna go fluff up that jersey in the box a bit. Mojo is on the way, I can just feel it. By the way Cody, I like the sox. Old school baby.

Marlins still lead the NLE by a game and 1/2 over the Phillies. Mets drop to the middle of the pack tonight with a loss. FSN wake up you dogs. Marlins are hot and your missing it. Inept…….. You think. Go dig for some bones and learn how to report the GAME. Better yet maybe you guys should get on the Obama team and learn how to lose. You guys are worthless. While I am on a rant, MLB get your act together with your package. I have not been able to watch a game yet on my computer. Take my $119.00 and hire some real video guys to make your package really watchable on the computer. The game I tried to watch you were out of commision for video mantinence. What a rip off. The money you guys are making off of baseball is a sin. Maybe you should take some remedial classes from u-tube. While I am at it, how do you consider New Mexico a black out area for Texas, Colorado, and Arizona? Get a fricking road map dudes. Do you really think fans of these three teams are going to drive 8 or 9 hours to see a game? Dream on. End of story for now. Sorry to rant on the Ross board but come on people get your act together before you charge for something that you cannot deliver.
