Should have been three for three but the scorekeeper called it an error.  Announcers disagreed. Oh well, one of Cody’s hits was lost in the sun by the defender. I guess it always evens out. Marlins won the game 3-1.

Florida Marlins played  their first spring training game today against the Cardinals. It was a tie in 10 innings 5-5. Cody was 0-2 with a walk and a steel. He also had an assist to second base. Hanley hit a home run. The problem was that the Marlins had 4 errors in the game, they would have won the game without the unearned run. Here we go. If you guys have not watched MLB TV check it out. They are having a series called 30 teams in 30 days. They are showing the Marlins now. Cody had a nice interview on the show. The channel is 213 on DIRECT TV. Marlins again are predicted to be last in the NLE with a low 33 mil payroll. The MLB team ranks the Marlins 4th behind the Mets, Phillies, and Braves. If the starting rotation of Nolasco, Johnson, Sanchez, Voldsad, and Miller produce what they are expected to and stay healthy.  Look out. Hopefully this young team can go through their growing pains in spring training and come out winning when the season starts. Every game counts. Look what happened last year. Go Marlins!!!

Congrats go out to Cody, Summer and the Ross family for the birth of Haven. Born at 1pm weighing in at 6 lbs, 14 oz and 19″. Hudson now has a little sister to pick on. Kenny and Janet now have 8 grandkids with two girls to spoil. Cody got a couple of days off from spring training for the birth.  Summer was induced at 7 am and delivered Haven at 1pm.  Everyone is healthy and feeling fine:)  Where is my darn cigar? Cody send me one of those cuban things.  Better yet we might pop that Luis Gonzolez bottle of wine you gave us for christmas……This is also our wedding anniversary. How strange is that? Congrats again. Get some sleep.
