Marlins sweep the Mets for 4, Ross goes 4 for 4

Cody this Cody that, Cody goes 4 for 4, Cody makes a double play catching a fly ball in left field and then throws the guy out at first. Cody steals home, Cody steals second base with an awesome slide. Cody has a throw to the plate from left field to throw out the runner going home. Throwing a rocket that hits in front of Brett Hayes for a strike…..Hayes misses the ball and Cody gets a throwing error to home. What? Most outfielders would never have even made it close. IF it had not been close, would Ross still get the error? I disagree with that one fellas. Oh well! Cody brings his average up to .297 leading the team in doubles with 11.

OK! I got behind

OOPS! My bad! I am almost tired of watching video clips of Cody sliding home winning games. Yea right! Either the pitcher gave up the game walking Cody in the ninth and throwing a wild pitch to watch Cody score from third or Ross is an excellent baserunner. Let me back up a bit….Ross walks in the top of the ninth on a 3-2 pitch. Paulino hits a single to right field and Ross scampers to third on great base running. Wild pitch and Ross scores to beat the Mets 2-1 in the bottom of the ninth. Two days before that, Ross is at third base and Maybin on first. Maybin takes a big lead on first, then attempts a steal, Pitcher throws to first and Ross steals home to win the game. Great timing and a great play that works when the timing is right. Bout time Ross gets his due on heads up base running.
