Puerto Rico gives the Marlins a vacation

Take in the music while the game is still going on. Shut off the disco lights behind center field while the game is going on so the batter can see the BASEBALL! Give me a break on this American Territory to ever get an MLB team much less become a state of the union. With THAT being said, good to see Loria give Puerto Ric an born Edwin Rodriguez a chance at managing the Marlins for the rest of the season. The vibes felt good and the Marlins have won the first two games against the Mets in San Juan. A walk off single in the bottom of the ninth by Dan Uggla made it even sweeter. This team does have allot of heart and if you have been watching this team since 2006 it is a special bunch of guys trying to do their best with a cheap owner who on a whim cut Fredi from the team. Maybe a good move, maybe not. Time will tell I guess. This long road trip before the Allstar break might tell the story to the rest of the season. Cody Ross is having a great series so far against the Mets with a 2-4 yesterday and a 1-4 today. Batting average at .295

Fredi is gone!!!

Whats up with THAT! I was liking Fredi as of late. Granted Loria wants a winning team. Changing managers will not help your bullpen Loria… You have lost two good managers in the last several years with Girardi and Gonzalez. Gee, Girardi went on to the Yankees and Fredi will probably end up in Atlanta. Loria, you seem to help all the teams that you are trying to beat with players and Managers. My next big news break will be that you traded Cody for some relief pitching. You go guy. Trade off Uggla, Ross, Cantu and Helms next year and you will be the king. You had a great reliever in Rhodes and you let him go for 2 mill. Bad move. Make your one trade by the deadline and you will be trying to put together a winning team. That stuff gets old buddy. Oh by the way, Ross has no affiliation with this site, so don’t blame him for this post. You brought up Stanton too early and you brought up Maybin too early. I admire your staff for finding players that might have a great future. Then you go a ruin it with bringing up players that are not ready. Hermida comes to mind. Gotta go with those minimum pay players. ITs gonna burn you in the end…..
