The Whitesox picked De Aza off of waivers so that shoots my theory of him being the fourth outfielder. I’m thinking now they just might keep Ross in right field……

Cody, congrats on a great year with record numbers and stellar play. 24 home runs, 90 rbi’s, 37 doubles and a solid .270 average for the year. Also a gold glove mention to your name. That should have been a no brain er but thanks to your manager and Loria you lost that from being switched from center field to right field. No doubt you will be in contention next year with whatever team you play for. No doubt you will double your salary next year. The question is “will you be a Marlin next year”? Since I can only speculate from your numbers and your salary due next year I doubt it. The Marlins being the Marlins I really don’t see you in the picture. Coghlan will stay in left field atthe minimum, Maybin will stay in center field at the minimum and Carrol will take right field at the minimum. Get my drift. I think the Marlins will spend their money on JJ and Nolasco. Your buddy Uggla will be gone and replaced by Bonifacio. Nick Johnson will be gone replaced by one of the minimum ones either Morrison or Sanchez. I think Cantu and Gload will get signed. Helms has another year. Hermida will be gone. They always have De Aza for a backup outfielder along with Amezega if he gets signed. Amezega is a deal at a mill a year if he is healthy. The rest of your salary will go to pitching with Sanchez and the bullpen. Sorry I didn’t post for a while but I had to think the Marlins way about what to say. I realize my posts have been kind of lame this year as you are a better player than I am a poster. Your extended family will always back you in the big leagues as I have and I know you will have a great career in baseball. We have always fought for your worth in the show and you now do not need this site. I really don’t think you ever needed this site but it was fun watching your career blossom. Next year I look forward to reading real sports writing talk about you and your ability. Small town kid makes it big and all that. Too bad Carlsbad is such a lame town to not recognize your achievements in such a competitive sport. You have made it brother and we all love you. Good luck in the coming years in the MLB.

I find it hard to root for the Phillies but I do hope they win the world series against the Yanks who now have a 2-0 lead against the Angels. Remember the Marlins took second in the NLE.
