About Cody Ross and CodyRoss.org
This website is a fan blog and news site supported by the fans of Cody Ross.
Cody Ross is from a small town in southeast New Mexico called “Carlsbad”. There isn’t much there except desert and a cave, but one thing is for sure, the town loves its baseball.
Cody J. Ross…wife’s name is Summer…graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1999, earning Baseball America’s Second-Team High School All-American honors during his senior season…batted .525 (34-for-60) with 12 home runs, 45 RBI and 15 stolen bases…also threw a perfect game during his high school career…batted against Phil Mickelson in the golfer’s tryout with the Toledo Mud Hens in 2003…originally signed by Tigers’ scout Jim Olander.
Assistant Varsity coach Bobby Click had this to say about Cody:
“…a great athlete. Extremely strong, quick and has a tremendous arm. He is a bulldog between the white lines. He is a great team leader and a money player.”
Cody’s favorite player is Ken Griffey Jr., who he named his dog after. Cody had the unlucky luck to go on the DL just after getting traded from L.A. to the Reds. While on the DL, guess who else was on DL? Yep, Cody got to work out with Griffey Jr. while they were “healing”. Now there’s a dream come true.

I didn’t write this dude, just added a word.

My son played ball with Cody in his early years in ALLEN, TX. I think they moved to NM while he was in middle school or maybe his freshman year in HS

I had the privilege of playing baseball with Cody for 3 years on the Collin County Phillies. Cody is not only a great baseball player, but a great person as well. I’m not surprised one bit at his success up to this point and I look forward to seeing great things from Cody in the future. I’m still hoping the Astros will sign him one day!

does Cody have some medical condition ? Is that why he shaves his head ? because he is not that old to be bald. could he have a thyroid problem ? because hypothyroid does cause people’s hair to fall out at a young age. I do not want to get into his personal business but I think I may have the same disorder. And Cody Ross is my favorite current baseball player and favorite Marlin. And if I knew that him and I shared the same disorder I would like him even more. I love going to the games to watch him play.

cgoddard, hilarious. I thought I was the only one here. I remember the day that I heard that he hit the 2 homeruns with the Dodgers. I called my mom to luck it up and she was blown away. I am sure I have some incriminating pics from kindergarten. Technically he is from Fairview, Tx.
