I wish you luck Cody! But i was so happy to see you playing with my favorite American league team- The Boston Red Sox!!! I can sense another World Series game for the Red Sox…Having you in their team. You are such a good soul hovering around.
It was Saturday night April 14th Red Sox vs Tampa Bay our first trip to Boston a trip 2 years in the making a dream come true for my 10yr old son who LOVES the Red Sox!!! Several home runs hit that night Cody Ross one of them… can this get any better? After the game my son wants to go behind the stadium to try and get anyone from the team to sign his custome 100yr commemerative bat we just purchased. A few players come out head right to their car and leave no chance for a signature just as we were about to give up out emerges Cody Ross talking on his cell phone when he hangs up he heads right for us we tell him good game he comes around the baracade starts signing autographs we have no sharpie my sons yells loud “will anyone lend me their sharpie” a young man says sure at the same time Cody is turning around my son says Cody please will you sign my bat he doesn’t turn around the security guard with him says Cody will you sign this boys bat Cody then turns around looks at them both and says “no” the security guard apologies to my 10 year old son and begins to follow the Major Leaguer. My son turned around scrunched his hat down so no-one would see that he is crying…..a boys heart broken my a member of a team he IDOLIZES!! Wonder how Cody would have felt should the tables me turned and it was his young son??? DISSAPOINTED….you have an obligation to the youth of America you can say no to all the adults you want but to a child….dissapointment doesn’t even express my feelings! I was flat out angry and thought it was cruel!!!….Jen
Wow that doesn’t sound like Cody at all. I know this sounds crazy but give me a address that I can send you something. Use a work address or something if you want, hopefully you are still a fan. If not I understand too.
I agree. Talked to some others and they couldn’t believe this. I wouldn’t think Jennifer would write this if she didn’t mean it however. Seems like an odd thing to flame someone with for fun. I dunno, but if it’s true then there must have been a reason for it…
My post certainly is the truth I have no reason to lie! This trip was 2yrs in the making for my son who has played baseball since the age of 5 and decided by age 6 to be a Red Sox fan…. I didn’t even know who this guy was until he came out and people started to yell “Cody” then my husband told who he was and what postition he played. I mean No ill will too this man like I said I didn’t even know really who he was I was just hurt by the way my son was treated and was really upset when I saw him cry (his heart was broke he just wanted a signature on his new bat. Unfortunately it will be an experince that he will never forget and as far as being a fan Baseball is part of our life and my son LOVES the Red Sox so this won’t stop us from being a fan(I can’t say that I’m must of a Cody Ross) fan but still a Red Sox fan!
2 Alvin….are you affiliated with the Red Sox that your offering to send something?
I’m really sorry that happened to your son, I have kids and would feel the same. I’m sure there must be a good explanation for what happened. I really can’t speak for Cody, but I can offer a signed card for your son. Cody went to school with my brother and when he comes to town he has always been willing to sign bats, cards, gloves, etc.. When they won the World Series (Giants) he did an all day autograph session for free. This is why its hard for me to believe. I understand if you don’t want the card, wish I could offer more its the least I can do for Cody. My offer still stands. Sorry I thought I had posted this a while back and noticed you hadn’t replied guess it never went through.
