Marlins Come Back Strong
Cody Ross keeps up his “streaky” hitting. What is exactly a streaky hitter.Does that mean he is comming off a slump. Does it mean he hits every now and then, or does it mean he just picked it up another notch. Ross is the only batter that the announcers call a streaky hitter. Gee, Hanley had a dry spell of like 0-22. He started hitting better. But Rameriz is “out of a slump”. Well Cody did the same thing. Cabrera is in a “hitless spell”, or “not producing.” “Uggla is out of sync”. Aren’t those all streaks, in the groove, on a roll, back on track, when a player finds his bat.
Anyway I had to rant. Ross goes 2-5 with two singles and 2 runs in a win over the Braves 6-1. It could have been 4-5. Cody is hitting the ball hard, and his swing is in check, smooth, fluid, level, confident. (I had to do that). Ross also scores two runs to help beat the Braves. My lord, Olsen pitched another great game going six innings and went 2-3 at bat. Yea you read that right. I don’t think Olsen has had two hits in his whole career. I read he was tired after running the bases. Thats why they took him out after the 6th inning and 97 pitches. Go Marlins, Go Cody Ross……..
On to Philly for a 5 game series in four days. Marlins
