Cody Startled
Cody Ross was startled when he received about a dozen phone calls from friends wondering if he was cut. The reason for the calls was a cutline in USA Today. The paper had a picture of Ross grimacing after being hit by a pitch on Thursday at Kissimmee, Fla., against the Astros. The cutline said that Ross was sent down to the Minor Leagues. What happened was Ross was confused with Cody Ransom, whom was optioned by the Astros.
