Cody to Share Duties in Right Field - Rookie De Aza Named Starting Center Fielder
Well, the decision is in and it’s a rookie in center field for two years straight. Just got the news from Sports Illustrated. 22-year-old De Aza will be the man in center. You have to hand it him, he stepped up this spring training and swatted .350. Looks like he has wheels as well, stealing four bases. The interesting thing is that Eric Reed hit .351 with 5 stolen bases, but they sent him to Triple-A Albuquerque.
Cody will play when opposing teams use south paw pitchers, so I’m thinking he’ll see a decent amount of play.
