Cody Gump
Sorry folks, I got the heads up about three days ago that Cody was going to be interviewed on XM radio before game 4 of the world series. My first thought was why would XM want to interview an outfielder from the Marlins on a pregame show for the world series. Stupid me, he was interviewed and did a great job. Lets see Cody thats 700 other ball players on major league teams that could have been interviewed before a world series game. Yet you got the call. I would call that a gumpism. Then I started thinking about it. Cody is always in the right place at the right time for the media and press. He was playing right field when Bonds hit his record breaking home run….Cody rarely playes right field. FSN was always interviewing Ross. Cody gets to introduce the lineup, Cody gets interviewed during a game while he is on the bench. Ross got numeruous interviews before and after games. Ever notice that Ross is always in the picture when there is a walk off game win. He’s everywhere. Is it just me or am I on to something here? Then there is the imfamous picture of Ross in the face of that stupid umpire that ended up all over the net. Hmmmmmmmmm:)

I completely agree w/ you Dave- Cody is everywhere! Even during those times when the Marlins weren’t playing him or hi-lighting him, he still found a way to get in the press. He’s always right in the middle of big plays & big games. This offseason is going to be exciting. I’m looking forward to seeing who the Marlins will keep & what kind of contract they offer Cody- I think he’ll be back…
