Cody Ross’s streak ends at 10

September 9th, 2007 — article by

After going for a ten game hitting streak it ends today with the Phillies beating the Marlins 8-5. Well thats why they call it a streak eh. All good things come to an end, and Cody had a good run. I think he tied Hanley with 10 games. Not bad for a player that was out for two months with a hamstring injury, the worst batting average on the team coming out of spring training and little playing time when he came off the DL. Never a contender for a starting job in centerfield from the eyes of FO. He has proven the wise ones wrong again doing a great job in centerfield. The question now is, will he start against the Nationals in centerfield? Those of you that go to the Marlins board (all three of us) and look at the depth chart Cody is listed as backup leftfielder. What is up with that? I cannot understand at this point why Ross is not considered for centerfield. It just baffles the heck out of me. Imagine that, me being baffled. Now that Ross has his ofer, it will be interesting to see who Fredi starts in center tomarro night. Go Ross…….
