Go figure
As soon as I bash someone, they come thru. Cudos for Jacobs hitting a home run last night. Too bad for Cody going two for four with two doubles but missing the grand slam home run. That would have been huge. Bottom line, Ross still went two for four with two doubles. Tonite being (tuesday) Cody goes one for four against the Nats. Ross also had a web jam with a catch in centerfield. I am not going to gloat about Cody but he is by far the best defensive player in the Marlins outfield defense. I hate to crush on Hermida, but he made two bad errors in right field. If it was not for his hitting as of late Hermida would be out of the game. What good is a hit if you let two runs score? It just sums up a bad season for the Marlins. I am sure Fredi will be back next year just so Loria can save face. Ross has pressured his presence in the Marlins outfield because of injury and a strong batting average. I was very supprised to see Cody start three games in a row with right handed pitchers at the helm. If Willingham never got hurt, Cody would still be sitting the bench. Call it fate or call it being able to come off the bench and kick butt, Ross is doing that. I call that a player at the highest reguard. Anyone with me on that? Give me a break, Ross is hitting at .336. He needs to play or trade at this point. It was interesting to see the call ups tonite against the Nats. Carrol, Abercrombie and another outfielder that I can’t think of at present. I am not sure why the Marlins brought up so many outfielders other than the fact that they don’t have a clue as to might start next year. My whole defense in this situation is Cody should start in left or center or rightfield. . With his prooven bat and prooven defense it should be a no brainer. But we are dealing with the Marlins so enough said…..His numbers alone with lack of playing time will set him up for a trade. My hope is that some team will give this kid a full year at playing his game. He will break out, if not with the Marlins with someone else. Loria says he does plan on keeping Ross for another year. But I think Cody has different plans. If he doesn’t he should. I think there are teams out there that will welcome Cody in open arms. Cody is in a catch 22 in his situation right now…. This kid can play and will, reguardless with what team. You go bitch……….

I’d gladly have him on my beloved Red Sox.
