I knew those caps got Fredi’s attention!
Fredi finally got a reality check from somebody and started Ross tonight in centerfield. The Marlins played a stinky game all night, got some bad calls and made some stupid plays. The Marlins were losing 6-0 against the Reds in the top of the 9th. Cantu singles, Uggla singles, Gonzo doubles Cantu scores. Helms is hit by a pitch. Bases loaded Treynor hits a single and scores Cantu and Uggla making it 6-3 with no outs. Mike Jacobs strikes out as a pinch hitter. That brings Ross to the plate with runners on first and third. The Reds ace closer Codero is pitching, Ross takes the count 2-2 and fouls off three balls. Next pitch………………..Outa here!!!!!!!!!! Cody hits a home run to tie the game. So now Rich and Tommy (the Florida announcers) jump on the Cody Ross bandwagon. Bottom of the 10th, Pinto strikes two out in a row and then walks two in a row and the Shortstop Paul Janish (his first game in the Majors) hits a walk off single to win the game 7-6.
Looks like Cody will get some more playing time………….Way to slam it Ross! On a smaller note, Ross blew Cordero’s record for saves. His first loss. Tis funny how Cody seems to get into the record books.

Way to go Cody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was amazing………………I can’t even imagine what it would be like to be playing against your old team (that used you as a pawn within trades)……..against Griffey Jr. …….(whom you named your dog after when growing up)……..(if I remember correctly)………and hit a 3 run shot to tie the game at 6. AT THE MOMENT THAT BALL WENT OVER THE WALL, TIME MUST OF STOOD STILL FOR CODY……………..AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOMER NUMBER 4 AND COUNTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We’re very happy for Cody, especially since he’s such a standup guy.
