Marlins lose to the Dodgers in the opener
What a great game for the Marlins to come back from being behind 6-1 in the third inning to tie the game 6-6. Andrews gave up 6 runs in the first three innings and was taked out. Ross did get a pinch hit in the 7th with a fly out to right field.
Is it just me or did the Dodgers get some close calls at the plate for strikes. Gregg pitched to the same area and got balls. It cost us the game. There will probably be web jams on sports center with the catch from Uggla into the stands, Amezega’s diving catch in centerfield and Robelo’s stand at home plate to save a run. Too bad Marlins you guys played a great game to get beat. Goes back to that starting pitching with Andrews. Hard to spot 6 runs in the first three innings and come back. they almost did………

I heard the league will be installing a synthetic umpire here in the near future. It will calculate the strike zone based on the hitters height and his crouch within the box, thus measuring the strike zone.
If the hitter complains the call, the synthetic ump will zap the batter with two laser beams attached to its mask.
Who wants real umps anyway?

I don’t think it will happen in our lifetime. There is a alot of controversary over the eagle eye. It would be interesting to see the difference in calls. The bad thing about that thing is batters would learn what their strike zone is and hit pitchers better.
