Spring Training Camp Sites & Reporting Dates

February 11th, 2007 — article by

The Padres Ryan Klesko blasts a shotWell folks, MLB spring training is almost upon us.  I have to admit that in many ways I prefer a spring training game to the regular season.  Spring training games offer an up-close and personal view of your favorite players in a family-like setting that you don’t often find in the big parks, and nothing beats the kettlecorn and brats that can be enjoyed during these events.

Here’s the spring training schedule for the Marlins in 2007, so if you head down to Florida this spring, bring your camera and an empty belly (don’t forget antacids) and prepare for a good time.  I highly recommend catching the Marlins/Red Sox matchups if possible.  Of special note, I will be keeping my eye on Mark Lowe whom I met this winter over some beers and darts.  He is a relief pitcher for the Seattle Mariners and this will be his first full season with them.

Thursday, Sports Illustrated put the reporting dates for players up on their website.
