Thank Goodness the season is over
After injuries, one comment made by Valentine, more injuries, bad luck, trading Youkilis, dumping payroll with Beckett, Gonzalez and Crawford, the Red Sox limped to the end of a very unlucky season! There were some bright spots though and Cody Ross was one of them. Signed to platoon with Sweeny, Cody was probably the best deal in baseball for Boston at 3 mill for one year. Half pay from his last year with the Giants. Who would ever dream Cody would end the season batting 4th after Ortiz got hurt and out for the season. Cody ended up as Boston’s every day right fielder putting up some impressive numbers. Now that big question. What is in store for Ross next year?
Cody wants a deal, Boston wants a deal! Stay tuned… Both sides show interest and Boston needs an experienced outfielder. A team and fan favorite wherever he goes, Cody would fit well in Boston. Valentine has already been fired and it took no time doing so the day after the season. They need Ross who was one of a couple of bright spots of the season. Ciriaco was the other. Birds in the hand are much more appealing than deals pending. The trade back from the Dodgers with first baseman Loony ain’t gonna work out. Starting pitching comes to mind. They need to sign a left fielder.
Oh and a manager too!

As a Red Sox fan…..I can’t believe you spelled all their names wrong….except Crawford. Really? Ukilus? It’s Youkilis! Beckett has 2 T’s. Adrian Gonzalez. One O and one A. How can I take these updates serious if you don’t even know the players!!!!!!! Google these people idiot.

Hello my name is Marc Smilow and I am hoping to talk with the person that helps with the Cody Ross website. This summer my 11 year old daughter had the pleasure of interviewing Cody. The interview is going to run in Junior Baseball Magazine in the first issue of 2013. The magazine is going to use it for a segment called “When I Was A Kid”. We were hoping to get a couple of pictures of Cody from when his was playing baseball as a kid. I noticed that several pictures were posted on his website and was hoping to talk to someone about getting permission to use those images or get others that the magazine could publish. If you are the person that helps with the website or could point me in the right direction my contact info is as follows.

What’s going on in Boston??? Cody was looking for a 3 yr deal for around $25 mil. So they were supposedly working with him, and they got Victorino for 3 yrs for $39 mil. Wow!!!

Where will he go??? Looks like lots of teams are interested. Phillies,Yanks,Mariners,ATL, and who else? Oh well we will just have to wait…….unless anyone has some insider info! We should do a poll to see where we think Cody will end up.
